TableMacros (the website at tablemacros.app and the TableMacros apps for iPhone and Android) is made by Emmaus Bible LLC (becoming Montgomery Appworks LLC) ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app uses, why, who processes it, and the choices you have.

Data stored on your device

Your goals, profile details you enter (such as age, height, weight and activity level), preferences, favorites, food log, weigh-ins, saved meals and settings are stored on your device. Without an account, this data never leaves your device unless you export a backup. You can delete it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

Optional account

If you sign in with your email, we use Supabase (our database and sign-in provider) to store your email address and to sync your profile, goals, favorites, go-to meals, weigh-ins and food log across your devices. Each account's data is protected so only that account can read or change it. We use this data only to provide the app.

Sign in with Apple or Google

You can also sign in with Apple or Google instead of email. When you do, Apple or Google confirms who you are and sends us, through Supabase, only a unique account ID for TableMacros, your email address, whether it's verified, and, if you choose to share it, your name (Google may also send your profile photo link). We never see your Apple or Google password, and we don't get your contacts, calendar or other account data. We use this only to sign you in and sync your data.

Apple's Hide My Email. If you choose Hide My Email with Sign in with Apple, Apple gives us a private relay address (ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com) that forwards to your real inbox. We treat it like any other email address and don't try to discover your real one. You can stop forwarding at any time in your Apple ID settings.

When you delete your account. Deleting your account in the app also disconnects TableMacros from your Apple or Google sign-in: for Sign in with Apple we ask Apple to revoke the sign-in tokens it issued to TableMacros, and the link to your Google account is deleted with your account. You can also remove TableMacros from the apps using your Apple ID (Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple) or your Google account (myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party connections).

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: open Goals, then Account, then Delete account. This permanently deletes your sign-in and all synced data from our servers. You can also email [email protected] from your account email and we'll delete it within 30 days. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel that in your store account settings.

Location

With your permission, the app uses your device's location only while you use location features (for example "Use my location", nearby picks, "I'm at a restaurant", directions and road trips). Coordinates are sent to look up nearby restaurants and routes through our server and OpenStreetMap-based services (such as Overpass, Nominatim, Photon and OSRM routing). We don't store your location or location history, and we don't use it for advertising. You can deny location access and type a city or ZIP instead, and you can change the permission anytime in your device settings.

Camera and photos

Barcode scanning and nutrition-label reading happen on your device; those images aren't uploaded. Barcode numbers are looked up in Open Food Facts.

AI photo estimates (OpenAI)

If you choose Estimate from a photo of my food, a downscaled copy of that photo, the meal or restaurant name, and any ingredients or portions you type are sent through our server to OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.), a third-party AI service, to produce a nutrition estimate. Your account email, location and other app data are not sent. The app asks for your permission before the first photo is sent, and nothing is sent unless you allow it. You can revoke that permission at any time in Settings → AI photo estimates; after that, no photos are sent unless you allow it again. We don't store or log the photo. OpenAI processes it under its API data-usage policies, which state that API data is not used to train its models by default. Estimates are clearly labeled, can be wrong, and are saved only if you log them.

Subscriptions and payments

TableMacros Premium is an optional subscription. In the iPhone and Android apps, purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never see your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, purchase receipts and subscription status from the store. Stores share purchase information with us under their own privacy policies.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data, share it for advertising, or track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app has no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Website analytics. Our website, tablemacros.com, uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless, collects no personal data, and does no cross-site tracking; it gives us only aggregate page-visit counts.

Service providers and logs

We use Cloudflare to host the app and our server functions; it keeps standard request logs (such as IP addresses) for security and rate limiting. Other providers are listed above (Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and OpenStreetMap-based services). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

Retention

Account data is kept until you delete it or your account. Server request logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider. Photos sent for estimates are not retained by us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. Use the in-app tools (export backup, edit profile, delete account) or email us. We won't discriminate against you for using these rights.

Children

TableMacros isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
